Salvia - Pink Friesland

Pink Friesland is a magnet for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and is deer-resistant. The Salvia Pink Friesland, Salvia nemorosa ‘Pink Friesland’, may just challenge it's cousin, East Friesland, as one of the best perennials of all time. Pink Friesland should be planted in full sun in a moist well-drained area. It is hardy for container gardening and provides excellent cut flowers. It has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 12-15” and stays in excellent compact form. After the flowers fade little seed pods appear making this a truly unique variety. It has dark red stems loaded with pink flowers that bloom from June to September. To increase bloom time, it should be cut back after the first bloom. ... more

Coral Bells - Peach Flambe The ruffled leaves have a soft peach color in the spring and fall and are bright orange with a touch of red during the summer. Like most Coral Bells, it thrives in partial sunlight but once established it will also grow in shade. Use this coral bell as a ground cover, in rock gardens, as a border plant or as an edger along paths and walkways. Taller shoots of white colored flowers appear on this variety in late spring. The Coral Bells Peach Flambe, Heuchera 'Peach Flambe' (PP17,195), produces perhaps the most striking color yet of all the Coral Bells. Coral Bells are grown more for their foliage color but the small blooms that they contain will attract hummingbirds.
