Canna - Tall Collection
The Tall Canna Collection, 'Canna x generalis', has lush tropical foliage and showy flowers, make borders and beds come alive with their bright colors all summer long. Long valued by park and municipal gardeners, home gardeners now realize the value of these hybrids as their popularity grows each year. Garden ns with a tropical theme are incomplete without this big flowered, bold leaved plant. Our Tall Canna Collection includes 3 each of some of our favorite cultivars. 'Red Kink Humbert' and 'The President' both have vibrant red flowers; 'Hubert's foliage is an exotic bronze to match. 'Wyoming' has spicy orange flowers that bring out the orange anthers at the center of 'City of Portland's pink flowers. The buttery-yellow flowers of 'Yellow King Humbert' stand out a mile in the landscape. Plant 18" apart. Large 2-3 eye roots. Cannas are hardy in zones 7-11; elsewhere dig and store the rhizomes in a dark, moist, frost-free place. ... find out more
Geranium - Southcombe Double The Geranium Southcombe Double, 'Geranium oxonianum', displays fully double, pure pink blooms that sit atop bright green stems. There are only a few double-geraniums in cultivation and don't look like a Geranium at first glance. Southcombe Double blooms almost non-stop throughout the summer, into fall. For the most part, cranesbill are long-lived and do not require a lot of care. This plant would look wonderful in a pot on a sun-drenched porch and is also deer resistant.
